Backlog for appointments

For those of you who are not booked in yet please note we are still battling our COVID-related backlog. With two and a half years of restrictions upon us (which was fully relaxed last summer) we have made huge leaps forward in clearing our backlog, but we’re not quite there yet.
We continue to send emails, texts and letters in chronological order according to when people were due – meaning those who are most overdue get contacted first. Your appointment may have been due a few months back or it might have only been due yesterday. You will receive a separate email/text/letter when your due-date gets to the front of the queue. Please don’t feel like we’ve forgotten about you and please don’t feel like we’ve neglected you. We continue to prioritise anybody with any concerns making sure that those who really need us have access as soon as possible.
If you are used to seeing a specific optometrist (Ben Ayliffe, or Anthony Josephson) it may be that you can be seen sooner by being flexible with who sees you and when.
Emails remain our preferred contact type so if you’ve received the text directing you here it means we don’t have an email address on record for you. If you would like to change this then please contact us, by calling 0161 941 6517 or emailing info@maskelloptometrists.com to update your details.
If you have any concerns please get in touch and we’ll get you in as soon as possible. If you have no concerns then a more formal “Please book an appointment” message will be sent to you in due course. Alternatively you’re very welcome to contact us sooner than this, knowing now that you are already due to come in.
For anybody upset or worried that there’s been a longer interval than planned between your last visit and this next one then I apologise for these delays. We’ve always been here, even with the backlog, to help those in need and will continue to do so whatever the future throws our way.
