AFTERCARE & ADVICE
Contact lenses are available in daily disposable lenses (that are single use lenses thrown away after one wear), fortnightly lenses and monthly lenses (both which require storing and cleaning in contact lens solutions over-night between wears). For more complicated prescriptions it may be necessary to choose a lens that is replaced less frequently than every month.
SPECIALISED SERVICES
We combine some of the best & latest technology, along without experience & knowledge, which are all designed to help detect, monitor & hopefully prevent eye disease.
Imaging
Each eye examination includes 3D OCT scans and Optomap wide-field imaging. OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) is an impressive way of being able to observe below the surface of your retina.OCT provides a radiation-free scan of your retina and creates a 3-dimensional image of the layers of your retina.
Myopia
Myopia, short-sightedness, is where a person’s eyes are focussed close up meaning things further away are out of focus and blurry to see. The more myopic a person is the closer their focal length and the more blurry long distance vision is. The more myopic an eye the higher risk of sight complications later in life. We can prescribe and recommend treatments to reduce this progression and protect the eyes
Dry eyes
There are many different causes for dry eyes. The main symptoms are itchiness or grittiness of the eyes, redness, variable vision and tired eyes. Click here to find out more about what we can do to manage your dry eyes.
